Assemble and Disassemble System Unit
Morning peeps. For this week, we were assigned to assemble and disassemble system unit. Okay first, let's do little briefing.
Okay let's look at the image above that I attached. Do you seem familiar with it? I bet most of you know what it is but do you really know how it functions and the components inside it? So, let's explore the world of system unit.
What is System Unit?
system unit or chassis is a case that contains and protects the motherboard, hard drive, memory and other electronic components.
Now we know what the real definition for system unit. I know probably
most of us mistaken and used to call it as CPU which stands for Central
Processing Unit. For your information, CPU is way more different than we
imagine. So, what is the CPU exactly? Let's have a look the components
inside the system unit

Motherboard holds basic components such as:
So where's CPU? CPU is actually resided on the main circuit board of the computer that called as Motherboard. Motherboard is one of the important components in the system unit since it holds many components that will make a computer works and also provides connectors for other peripherals.

Motherboard holds basic components such as:
- Processor slot
- Memory slot (RAM slot)
- Adapter Card slots
Okay now we already have some knowledge about what inside the system unit and what components that attached on the motherboard. Now I would like to continue on how to assemble and disamble the system unit.
First, we were given a CPU, Memory RAM and Adapter Card

1. Put on the Central Processing Unit (CPU)
First, put the CPU on the Processor slot. The correct way to hold a processor is by
the edges so your fingers do not touch the delicate gold pads. This prevents you
from accidentally shorting out the CPU with static electricity and it's actually the correct
way to hold a circuit board.
And then lock it carefully by pushing the pin beside the Processor slot.
2. Attach the Memory card at the Memory Modules
Attach the Memory RAM on the memory slot and put on them some pressure until a 'click' sound heard. It means that the memory RAM already attached. But always make sure to attach it correctly based on the grip at the bottom of memory RAM.

3. Finally, put the Adapter Card on the Adapter Card slot.
Reside the chip on the adapter card into the adapter card slot.
So we finish assemble the components inside the system unit. Lastly, we need to disassemble the components from it. The way to disassemble is just taking them out carefully from the place that we attached it before and put them on the smooth surface such as table to protect them from break.
That's all for today guys. Thank you for reading. Annyeong :)

good work.. thumb up..
